With Matchweek 17 in the books (check out our must-read Talking Points), we bring you the best performers in their respective positions for the round, using the Roshn Saudi League’s unique Performance Index.
The explainer is just below, while you can use the filter option to select the appropriate matchweek.
The Al Najmah goalkeeper registered his first clean sheet of the season in the goalless draw at Al Shabab - a result that could aid the bottom club’s fight for survival. To keep out the hosts, Braga made five saves and 11 recoveries.
On the other side at SHG Arena, the Dutch centre-back outscored all defenders with a match-high 86 successful passes, good long balls (nine), recoveries (nine) and total touches (112). It all added up to his third clean sheet of the campaign.
The in-form Al Ahli full-back continued his great run in his side’s come-from-behind 4-1 win at home to Al Khaleej.
Introduced on 12 minutes, the Saudi defender not only netted the final goal of the game but also laid on more successful passes than any of his teammates (33), while only two of those had more than his 47 total touches.
Alongside Hamed, the Brazilian centre-back was his usual imposing best, especially given the early injury to usual defensive partner Merih Demiral. Ibanez contributed the game’s joint-most total touches (49), while his two blocks helped Al Ahli pick up a sixth successive RSL win - and move into second in the standings.
Al Hilal’s new signing showed exactly why manager Simone Inzaghi signed him from Serie A, with a fine display in the RSL leaders’ 3-1 home triumph against Al Fayha. Mari topped the match for successful passes (100) and total touches (113). With it, Al Hilal had a 13th league win on the trot.

One of two of Al Hilal’s incredibly impressive central midfielders, the Serbia international led the fightback against Al Fayha with a stunning overhead-kick to equalise. No one had more shots on target (two) or produced more lay-offs (five) than Milinkovic-Savic, who cites Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his hero.
The second half of that dazzling duo is a major reason why Al Hilal lead the RSL by seven points at the halfway stage. Neves was at his creative best again at Kingdom Arena, teeing up both Mohammed Kanno and Marcos Leonardo as the hosts emerged victorious.
Thus, he led the encounter for assists (two), good long balls (six), crosses (four) and chances created (four).
Not to be outdone, the Saudi Arabia international not only netted a second goal in three matches, but he equalled Milinkovic-Savic for shots on target (two) and made more tackles than anyone on the pitch (three). An all-action display, as usual.

Al Kholood’s midfielder excelled in his team’s superb 5-2 triumph at previously on-song Al Fateh. The Saudi wideman's burst down the left and fine finish put the visitors to Al Ahsa 2-0 up, while he chalked up more crosses (two) than any teammate and made more interceptions (three) than anyone in the game.
What a stretch the Al Ahli striker is enjoying at the moment. His hat-trick at home to Al Khaleej made it nine goals in his past six matches to move to 14 for the season and behind only Cristiano Ronaldo (16) in the race for the golden boot. Remarkably, his three goals, all almost identical, came from three shots on target.
Toney’s amazing debut season in the RSL last term is being replicated this campaign at Al Kholood, where the Argentine summer signing’s double at Al Fateh took him to nine goals in 15 appearances.
Enrique both opened and closed the scoring, his second effort one of the highlights of this matchweek. He also contributed an equal-best three successful dribbles.
