Moises Caicedo has said he wants to become a Chelsea legend after signing a new contract with the club.

Caicedo has penned a new seven-year contract with the West Londoners which recognises his influence since signing from Brighton in 2023.

The Ecuador international joined Chelsea in a £115m deal has become a key part of the club's recent success. Last season, he helped Chelsea toEuropa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup wins.

At the announcement of his new deal, Caicedo discussed his desire to achieve much more at Stamford Bridge and outlined his belief that Chelsea are heading in the right direction. He said his 'dream' is to leave the club regarded as a Chelsea legend.

"I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea,"Caicedo said after signing his new contact.

"I believe in this team, this club and I know we’re going in the right direction. We’ve only just begun together.

"There is still a lot more to achieve, and I’m very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans," Caicedo said.

"We have enjoyed some great times together already and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend. I will work as hard as possible to make that happen."
