With Alphonso Davies now officially tied down to a contract extension, the focus of Bayern Munich now naturally turns to getting Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala inked to new deals. Reliable reports suggest that FCB board-member-for-sport Max Eberl has convinced Jamal Musiala to remain with the German giants long term.
Asked about ongoing negotiations with Musiala at the “Spobis Conference” in Hamburg on Thursday, FCB board member for sport Max Eberl kept it as glib as possible. Eberl merely stated “good” and offered a trite smile.
Eberl was a bit more forthcoming in the case of Kimmich, stating that matters were “good, but not very good.” The former Borussia Mönchengladbach and RB Leipzig executive offered some brief insights into his personnel management style.
“I don’t believe in setting a deadline,” Eberl said. “but I don’t believe in waiting until the day after tomorrow either. It’s not my job to persuade a player. It’s my job to convince him.”
