Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has made a late squad change after Aleksandar Pavlović withdrew injured, with Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller called up.

According to BuLi News, Pavlović has a hip problem and is already sidelined at Bayern Munich. The decision to withdraw him from the national team camp was precautionary to avoid aggravation.

Nagelsmann moved quickly to name Stiller as the replacement, handing a new opportunity to a standout performer.

The switch is also seen as part of a wider look at Germany’s depth in a World Cup year, with several players still competing for places in the final tournament squad.

Germany face Switzerland on 27 March and Ghana on 30 March, fixtures that will serve as key preparation.

The disruption is not ideal for Nagelsmann, but it could prove valuable in the long run, and Stiller will now be closely watched.
