According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Nahitan Nández marked Boca Juniors’ 121st anniversary on 3 April with an Instagram post, rekindling talk of a return. The gesture has prompted suggestions from some outlets that he even has an agreement with Juan Román Riquelme.

The Uruguayan, now at Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, played for Boca from 2017 to 2019 and shared several images from his time in blue and gold.

The first showed his goal against River in the Superclásico on 5 November 2017 at the Monumental in Núñez, a strike that helped Boca win 2-1.

The second was from 31 July 2019, his final match for Boca, a Copa Libertadores meeting with Paranaense. He departed to applause across La Bombonera.

The last image, also from that day, captured him touching the club badge alongside a happy anniversary message to Boca Juniors.

A mid-year return has been mooted, although any deal would likely require around 5 million dollars to release him from Al-Qadsiah, where he is under contract until 2027. In a recent interview, Nández said he had been in contact with Riquelme, who told him he left a good impression, would like him back and joked about whether he would remain on holiday in Arabia or come back to Boca.
