Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna addressed the rumors linking Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini with the Partenopei.
Pellegrini’s season has been far from impressive. Only one goal, scored against Braga, no assists, many underwhelming performances and only two games as a starter since Ranieri’s arrival.
This is why in recent days there has been talk of a possible sale of the Giallorossi captain in January.
In particular, there has been talk of a strong interest from Napoli, who would like to try to set up an exchange with Giacomo Raspadori, who has seen the field very few times with Conte in charge.
The Azzurri’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, intervened to clarify the matter before the Genoa-Napoli match, putting the market rumors to rest a bit.
“Pellegrini? He’s a player from another team, at the moment they are purely media suggestions.”
“Every day a different name comes out, exceptional exchanges. At the moment we are focused on the pitch.”
