Napoli Limping Toward Monumental Meeting with Inter

After leading Serie A for most of the season, Napoli arrive at the head-to-head clash with Inter with a one-point disadvantage. After three draws in a row, the Azzurri fell for the fourth time this year against Como.

As Corriere dello Sport relays, the Partenopei will look to quickly forget their February, where they have collected just three points in four fixtures. Moreover, they need to return from the interval with more fury. They have been lackluster in the second halves in all their recent faux pas.

The deputies continue to be a sore spot for Napoli. While Giacomo Raspadori showed up again and Phillip Billing did reasonably well in his first start, Giovanni Simeone, Cyril Ngonge, and Noah Okafor brought little to the table. It has happened routinely.

The Azzurri will have a less demanding schedule on their side. However, that goes for Atalanta too now. La Dea is just three points away from the top of the table. They’ll also face Inter in the near future.

Per La Repubblica (via OneFootball), Antonio Conte might do away with 3-5-2 versus the Nerazzurri. Raspadori has been the only one really benefitting from the schematic change. The defense hasn’t been as commanding as expected despite the extra man. The coach indicated some mental frailty behind their ongoing skid. Moreover, Romelu Lukaku hasn’t scored in a month.

Our Take on Napoli

Their last two performances were indeed worrying, while they were pipped at the post versus Roma and Lazio. The season won’t end Saturday, but a convincing result one way or the other will go a long way to determining the ultimate winner.
