Napoli Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne Hails Inter Milan As Serie A Title Rivals: ‘They’re More Consistent Than Anyone Else’ | OneFootball

Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne feels that Inter Milan are “more consistent” than the Partenopei’s other Serie A title rivals.

Speaking in an interview, via FCInterNews, the Belgian named the Nerazzurri and also AC Milan as major threats to the title.

Kevin De Bruyne joined Napoli from Manchester City.

The 33-year-old is a huge name addition to a team that had already won the Serie A title last season.

Moreover, De Bruyne is far from the only big signing Napoli have made.

Between being last season’s champions, and the summer of big spending, many have tipped Napoli as the favourites to retain their title.

However, the Partenopei are not without formidable rivals in Serie A.

Inter, for example, came agonizingly close last season. They only lost out on the last day, by a single point, and after squandering several opportunities to wrestle top spot away from Napoli.

Meanwhile, Inter had won the previous season’s title in dominant fashion. And they have reached two of the last three Champions League finals.

Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne gave his thoughts on the title race.

“Inter have more consistency than the other teams,” he said. “And they have quality.”

“I faced them in the Champions League final,” noted the former Manchester City midfielder.

“But I think that in Italy there are several teams capable of competing at a high level,” added the Belgian.

“Milan can be dangerous,” De Bruyne said. “Even despite their false start.”

The Belgian then noted that Milan “also have the advantage of being able to concentrate just on the league.”
