After a few days of intense negotiations with Manchester United and RB Leipzig, Napoli are ready to bring in both Rasmus Hojlund and Elijf Elmas as the likely final signings of their summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the Dane is set to return to Italy on loan with an obligation to buy for a total of €45M. The Partenopei easily surpassed Milan in the race for the Manchester United outcast after Romelu Lukaku suffered a major injury. The only thing missing is for the former Atalanta prodigy to sort out the details of his exit from the Red Devils.
While Hojlund is joining with a permanent formula, Elmas is returning to Napoli temporarily but with an option to buy. Per Corriere dello Sport, the Azzurri will pay €2M to have this season, €500k potential bonuses, and have a €16/17M option to buy.
The North Macedonian star prioritized a reunion despite having other offers on the table. He spent four and a half seasons in Campania, recording 19 goals and 11 assists in 189 matches across. He had left for €25M and joined Torino temporarily in the past campaign, hitting the net four times.
It took a while but, as they have done almost every time but for Dan Ndoye, they got their top target at an acceptable cost all things considered. He had shown tremendous promise at Atalanta, then it would have been for everybody to emerge from the chaos that’s been going on at Manchester United, more so for a young and still fairly raw player. The former is a sound and versatile option to replace Giacomo Raspadori as a super-sub.
