Napoli send contract offer to Andy Diouf amid interest from Crystal Palace | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, SSC Napoli have taken a step forward in the race to secure RC Lens midfielder Andy Diouf (22). The midfielder is a target for several clubs this summer, with Bundesliga sides VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig, with Crystal Palace also reported to be interested. Napoli have reportedly sent a contract offer to Diouf, and will soon be making contact with Lens.

Interest in the midfielder comes at an inopportune time for Les Sang et Or, who kickstart their season on Sunday when they host Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. It will have to be a convincing offer to persuade the club to let go of their third most expensive signing in history (€14m in 2023 from Basel). Especially since Neil El-Aynaoui has already left the club this summer, depleting their options in midfield.

Lens had been hoping to build on Diouf, and that the France youth international would finally reach his potential, having failed to impress in his two seasons at the club.
