Nashville SC tops Atlético Ottawa, advances to Round of 16

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continued with Nashville SC earning a 5-nil win over Atlético Ottawa in the Second Leg of their Round One series, advancing 7-nil on aggregate, on Tuesday at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
The MLS side opened the scoring in the 21’ when Alex Muyl cleaned up a rebound following an opportunity where Woobens Pacius’ header was saved by Garissone Innocent.
Nashville doubled its lead in the 36’ when Jordan Knight snuck behind defense and blasted a right-footed shot past the keeper.
Pacius got on the board on the 55’ as he pounced on a save and knocked it in from close range. He has now scored two goals in as many Champions Cup matches.
Jack Maher extended the lead by heading in a free-kick cross from Bryan Acosta in the 63’.
Ahmed Qasem put the finishing touches on the victory in the 83’ by capping off a brilliant build-up passing sequence.
Nashville SC will play reigning MLS Cup champions Inter Miami CF in the Round of 16 in March.
