Nathan Ake is set to bring the curtain down on a hugely successful six-year spell at Manchester City after Fenerbahce reached an agreement to sign the Netherlands international.
The Turkish giants are understood to be paying around £7 million for the 31-year-old defender, who joined City from Bournemouth in 2020 for £41 million. During his time at the Etihad Stadium, Ake collected 12 major trophies, including four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two Carabao Cups and the club's first-ever Champions League triumph in 2023.
Ake played an important role in Pep Guardiola's treble-winning campaign, featuring in the Champions League final against Inter Milan, and enjoyed his most productive season a year later with 44 appearances across all competitions.
However, injuries and increased competition limited his opportunities last season, with just 17 starts in all competitions. Fenerbahce have now moved quickly to secure his signature as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign, bringing an accomplished and experienced defender to Istanbul.
