Neo Química Arena is set to add drinking fountains in the North and South stands for the remainder of the 2026 season.

According to Meu Timao, work is expected to finish before Corinthians’ first home match of the second half of the year, with the fountains available from the Remo match on 23 July in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The infrastructure is already in place and installation is at an advanced stage, but the work is not yet complete. The exact number of units has not been confirmed, and the remaining machines are expected to arrive next week.

The move follows long-standing calls from Corinthians supporters, amplified in January by the Arquibancada 85 group. It criticised the lack of fountains after a stadium announcement urged fans to stay hydrated during the win over Ponte Preta in the Campeonato Paulista, the club’s first home match of 2026.

That match kicked off in 33ºC heat. Fans used social media to report difficulty staying hydrated and to protest against mineral water cups priced at R$ 8,00.

In its post, A85 said it had repeatedly pressed the board to install fountains across all sectors, highlighting the cost for families. At the time, the club said it was aware of the complaints and was studying solutions for water sales and distribution inside the stadium.
