One German boss has caught the eye of all three of these clubs.

Christian Titz has officially left his position at FC Magdeburg as Hull City, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers search for a new boss.

All three Championship sides either ended the season knowing that they were going to need to look for a new manager or with the idea in their heads that they might.

Hull and Norwich pulled the respective trigger on Ruben Selles and Johannes Hoff Thorup, while Marti Cifuentes' actions led to him being placed on gardening leave.

This left the trio of teams with big decisions to make over the summer, and Titz, a reported target of unnamed Championship clubs, has now become available.

Potential Hull, Norwich and QPR managerial option becomes available

The 54-year-old German coach was the manager of 2. Bundesliga side Magdeburg, but it has now been confirmed that he will leave his position there.

Interest from English clubs in Titz was reported by Florian Plettenberg on Tuesday and is said to be available for a pretty small fee.

Comments from the club's sporting director, Otmar Schork, were released on their website on Wednesday, indicating that no definitive decision had been made on the manager's future.

"It is the so that Christian came to me after the Paderborn game with the desire to make a change," Schork said. "We are now in close contact, but nothing has been decided yet. The preparations for the new season continue as normal."

Now, just hours later, it has been confirmed that Titz will leave the club, as per Plettenberg.

The 54-year-old has been with Magdeburg for nearly four-and-a-half years, taking charge of 165 games. They won the German third division in his second season (2021/22) and they have been a stable side in the division above since then, reaching a high of fifth in the table this time around.

Interest in Titz isn't just coming from England. German side Hannover 96, who finished four places below Magdeburg this season, are considering a move for the man whose contract with his current club expires next summer.

Plettenberg added most recently that Titz has received proposals from Championship clubs but would like to go back to the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany, which could hurt the English trio's chances of landing him, should they decide to go after him.

Christian Titz is a gamble that Hull, Norwich or QPR would usually take

Apart from Selles, when you look at the managers that the Tigers, the Canaries and the Hoops last brought in, none of them were guaranteed to be successful. Some were and some weren't, but what they ultimately showed is that they are willing to take these chances on coaches who are unproven in this country.

It's certainly no guarantee that Titz will be the one for any of these clubs, for one, because of his desire to stay in Germany, and also because there are other candidates in contention to fill the vacant second tier positions, but it shouldn't surprise anybody if the German is holding up one of these three teams' shirts at some point this summer.
