Norwich City fans are sharing their positive atittude towards Philippe Clement's first meeting with the squad
Norwich City fans are reacting to footage of new manager Philippe Clement addressing his squad for the first time.
Clement was appointed as the Canaries’ boss after a decision was made to relieve Liam Manning of his managerial duties at the start of the November international break.
Manning had only been given the Norwich job during the summer after leading Bristol City to their first Championship play-off finish in 17 years, but after winning just two of his 15 second-tier matches in charge, he was handed his marching orders.
Names such as Gary O’Neil and Jon Dahl Tomasson were both heavily linked with the Canaries’ role, but it ended up being Clement who would take over the Norfolk outfit.
Having previously managed European sides such as Rangers, Monaco and Club Brugge, there was much excitement throughout the Norwich City fanbase following this announcement.

Following Clement’s appointment, Norwich City released footage of his first day in the job, which featured formalities such as taking a training session, meeting his backroom staff and addressing the squad.
The Belgian spoke about the players’ attitude towards playing and about how they can achieve promotion back up to the Premier League, which is the ultimate goal at Carrow Road.
"I demand one thing," stated Norwich's new boss. "If you want to play games, I need hungry, ambitious people in everything.
"Not only in the training sessions with me and the staff with the ball, but also in your prevention exercises, in your power exercises, in your diet, in your sleep, in your rest.
"Because you are here in a club that has ambitions to go to the Premier League. I think all of you want that. But you don't get it for granted.
"It's hard work, but the moment you start to love hard work, then you become a good player and you can go to that level.”
Given the excitement about Clement’s appointment after his appointment, this attitude only seems to have spiked after footage was released of Clement addressing his squad for the first time, with supporters quick to vocalise the positivity they were feeling about this appointment.

The Canaries’ fanbase were clearly impressed with what they saw, with the 51-year-old’s elite mentality clearly something different from what previous managers had shown over the years.
“Love this guy already he’s so different from the rest of this mess of a club,” stated one Norwich fan.
“Different gravy when compared with Manning!” claimed another, making an instant comparison to Clement’s predecessor.
Former BT Sports and BBC Formula One presenter Jake Humphrey also gave the speech his seal of approval, simply commenting “Love this”.
There was even room for some sentiment from Rangers supporters, the club Clement was previously in charge of. The Belgian was manager at Ibrox for 16 months but couldn’t manage to challenge Celtic for the title successfully during that time.
“You've a good manager there,” claimed a Rangers fan. “He was given a set of poor cards with us, dont let that mislead you all. PC, given the right environment, hes a top manager. All the best to PC on behalf of BoldNBlue1872.”
“You will do well with Big Phil Norwich City fans,” commented another. “Was dealt a not so great hand towards the end of his rangers spell , board left him too much pressure. Definitely got a tune out of squad of players lost . Had a ding dong with Cantwell which was a pity.”
Clement certainly has a long way to go before he can set about achieving his Premier League plans with Norwich City, as escaping the relegation zone is the main priority at this moment in time.
However, he certainly has the managerial credentials to succeed in the second-tier, having coached at some of the highest levels in European football, and could end up being a huge coup for the Canaries later down the line.
