FLW's Ipswich fan pundit has waxed lyrical about the current state of his side's ownership
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
The progression that Ipswich Town have undergone since Gamechanger 20 Ltd purchased the club from Marcus Evans in 2021 has been remarkable.
The Tractor Boys are now recognised as the most valuable club in Championship history, following an ownership reconstruction which now sees them valued at £350 million.
The sky was the limit for Ipswich when the purchase of the then-League One club for a then-third-tier record £30 million, but it's been of the utmost importance that the club grew off-field at the rapid pace it did on it, and despite a setback in the form of relegation from the Premier League this past May, the ownership group seems to be continuing on an upawards trajectory.
Kieran McKenna has been convinced to stay at Portman Road, the squad has been invested in once again, and the off-field infrastructure has had similar investments in it, too.
For FLW's Ipswich fan pundit, Adam Wilkin, he couldn't be happier with the current state of the ownership at his club.

When asked about how he feels on a scale of 1-10 about Ipswich's ownership, Wilkin was confident in his response: "It's a ten, it has to be in terms of the club's ownership.
"We've just seen some shares change hands, and now we're the highest valued club in Championship history, it seems, which is not something to be complained about at all."
But all the financial jargon can often go over the majority of the fanbase's heads. What truly matters to Wilkin and the rest of those inside Portman Road week in, week out is that the investment is seen throughout the squad.
The fan pundit is confident that's the case at Ipswich, though, and he's impressed with the handling of the club since Marcus Evans sold his stake over four years ago.
"I think that they have a clear vision for the club, good ambition, and they're investing in all areas of the club," Wilkin added.
"They've convinced Kieran McKenna of the project, we were able to keep him, they've invested heavily in the playing squad, but it's the off-field investments which have impressed me the most.
"Investing in the academy, making that Category 1, redoing the training ground completely and rebuilding that.
"After years of neglect under Marcus Evans' ownership, it's just night and day."

The fact that, instead of looking to sell their shares after relegation in May, the Three Lions Fund, which partnered with ORG to complete the initial takeover and Clara Vista Partners, who joined the ownership group upon promotion to the Premier League, looked to new investors to join their group, just outlines the vision of the current ownership group.
They all want to see Ipswich back in the top flight, and they seem to be doing everything they possibly can do off the field to help the Tractor Boys succeed on it.
After a stumble out of the gates, Ipswich have built momentum as the campaign has gone on, and as we head into 2026, they are well amongst it when it comes to being in and around that top two.
That's where the current owners want them to be, and an immediate promotion back to the top flight will line up with their expectations.
