Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Graham Potter’s West Ham United are interested in Fikayo Tomori.
That is according to TuttoJuve, which has claimed that Premier League duo Newcastle and West Ham are following Tomori.
However, Tomori does not want to leave AC Milan now for either Newcastle or West Ham.
The Italian news outlet has claimed that the Milan management team is pushing the £24 million (BBC Sport) defender towards the exit door.
Tomori is a very good defender who has done well overall at Milan. The Englishman is 27 now and is at the top of his game.
There is no doubt that the England international centre-back would be a good signing for Newcastle or West Ham, but the Magpies and the Hammers should not waste precious time trying to convince him to move to St James’ Park or London Stadium.
The transfer window will close on Monday, and if Newcastle and West Ham are on the hunt for a new centre-back, then they should look elsewhere.
It is not just TuttoJuve that has claimed that Tomori does not want to leave Milan in the middle of the 2024-25 campaign.
On Friday, it was reported on Gianluca Di Marzio’s official website that Tomori had decided to stay at Milan despite advanced interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham and Milan had reportedly agreed on a deal for the defender to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but the former Chelsea player decided to stay put at San Siro after thinking over a potential transfer for a few hours.
Tomori has made nine starts and three substitute appearances for Milan in Serie A so far this season.
The 27-year-old centre-back scored four goals in 35 matches in all competitions for the Rossoneri during the 2023-24 campaign.
