Newcastle look set to join two of Serie A's biggest sides in pursuit of Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, according to reports in Italy.
Eddie Howe's men are intent on adding further defensive quality, and despite some disappointment across the summer window, a possible move for Milan's Fikayo Tomori may come to fruition.
According to Gazzetto dello Sport, the former Chelsea academy graduate is eager to depart San Siro, affording the club's new sporting director Paul Mitchell the perfect opportunity to bolster Howe's squad.
Multiple failed attempts to secure Marc Guéhi from Crystal Palace in the summer left Newcastle short of defensive options, making Tomori's availability too good to pass up.
Newcastle would reportedly face competition from both Juventus and Napoli, but are rumored to be leading the charge for the 27-year-old England-capped defender as Milan would prefer to sell the player abroad over a move to a domestic rival.
