Newcastle United are looking at Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi as a potential replacement for Man City target Bruno Guimaraes.
This according to Uk football journalist Rudy Galetti. He reports on TeamTalk that the Magpies have joined Roma in the race for the 25-year-old, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have also made inquiries.
Frattesi’s future at Inter has been the subject of plenty of speculation recently.
Reportedly, Roma are very keen on the 25-year-old.
Frattesi has not managed to secure a big increase in playing time this season. Therefore, he would like a move away at this stage.
According to UK journalist Galletti, however, Inter would have little interest in a swap deal involving Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.
However, Galetti reports, Roma are not the only club with an interest in Frattesi.
According to Galletti, Newcastle United see the Italian international as a potential replacement if Bruno Guimaraes is to leave.
Guimaraes is reportedly a target for Manchester City.
Then, Galetti also adds that the Magpies could aim to sign Frattesi as a replacement if former AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali were to depart.
Meanwhile, Galetti reports that Inter value Frattesi at around €50 million.
