The Toon teenagers got off to an incredible start at the Magpies' Little Benton Academy, scoring three times in the opening 21 minutes.
Fifteen-year-old midfielder Jayden Koussou, making his first start for United's under-18s, fired the hosts ahead in the ninth minute. After Sammy Pinnington's corner was headed across the face of goal by Isaac Moran at the back post, Koussou was on hand to nod the ball home from close-range.
Newcastle doubled their lead eight minutes later as Wooster netted his seventh league goal of the season at under-18 level, cutting inside from the left flank before curling a wonderful effort into the bottom right-hand corner.
United's youngsters extended their advantage further in the 21st minute as Henry Johnson, on target in the reverse fixture against Man City three weeks prior, rose high from Pinnington's inviting corner before guiding a firm header into the net.
Man City, who were seeking a 14th win in 16 league matches, pulled a goal back for the table toppers in the 34th minute as Finlay Gorman's strike from distance flew into the bottom right-hand corner.
Newcastle's goal advantage was halved on the stroke of half-time following Karim Cassim's strike from the edge of the box before, 13 seconds into the restart, finding themselves on level terms following Teddie Lamb's blasted strike.
United's youngsters suffered a tough blow as Lamb netted his second goal of the afternoon, latching onto Dexter Oliver's pass in behind the Magpies defence before lifting the ball into the net before the hosts' hopes of a late leveller were distinguished in the 86th minute as Oliver sealed maximum points for City.
Chris Moore's side sit in sixth place of the 14-team group on 28 points and are back in league action on Saturday, 28th January when facing an away trip to Blackburn Rovers (kick-off 11am GMT).
