PSG and Barcelona could be in the market for another midfield addition this summer, with Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali reportedly drawing interest from both clubs. The Parisians brought in Joao Neves last year to bolster a midfield group that already includes Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Fabian Ruiz.
Despite that depth, PSG seem intent on building Luis Enrique’s project around a dynamic, hard-working midfield. The manager has leaned on squad rotation throughout the season to keep players fresh.
With the summer transfer window approaching, Tonali has emerged as a rumored target. The Italian midfielder is believed to be on PSG’s radar, though it’s unclear if he’ll be available—and he’s said to be attracting attention from other clubs as well.

Knowing Tonali’s name is in the rumor mill, the Magpies are ready to tie down the Italian to a long-term contract. TBR Football confirms that Newcastle are looking at offering Tonali a new contract. The Italian midfielder has been excellent this season after missing last year due to his betting ban.
The report also says Inter Milan and Juventus have informed his representatives that they want to bring him back to Italy. However, Newcastle still view Tonali as a key part of their project and are prepared to reward him.
They understand that if they break their wage structure to keep Alexander Isak, which they’re open to doing, they’ll also need to adjust the contracts of other top players like Bruno Guimaraes and Tonali.
CaughtOffside reported that several top European clubs, including Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and PSG, are closely monitoring Sandro Tonali’s situation.
The outlet suggests Tonali has hinted he could be open to leaving Newcastle United this summer. The Italian midfielder has impressed since joining from AC Milan. While Newcastle is reportedly eager to keep him, CaughtOffside mentions that the club might entertain offers in the €80 million range.
Despite speculation about a potential move, Telegraph Football reported that Tonali is committed to staying at Newcastle. He wants to repay Eddie Howe, the fans, and the club for supporting him during his gambling ban.
