Juventus are optimistic about reaching an agreement to extend Dusan Vlahovic’s contract, and while negotiations between the two parties continue, La Gazzetta dello Sport points to a noticeable ‘change’ surrounding the Serbian striker.
Juventus hope to convince Vlahovic to sign a contract extension.
The agreement runs out this coming June, but negotiations between the two parties resumed over the last few weeks in a much better environment than last year.
Vlahovic has earned €12m, including add-ons, in his final year with Juventus, but the Bianconeri need to lower their wage bill, so, according to Gazzetta, their best offer will be €7m, including add-ons, and a new short-term contract running until June 2027 or 2028.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich sounded out the striker’s availability in the past months, but neither has made a formal contract offer.
Furthermore, Gazzetta highlights a switch surrounding the Serbian striker, which might help Juventus in negotiations.
‘The change in the atmosphere is shown by the presence of Dusan’s father, Milos, alongside his son and not only for reasons of affection and family closeness. The father is increasingly taking part in the meetings, even informal ones, about his son’s future.
‘The stance of Vlahovic’s entourage was a source of friction and misunderstandings that certainly did not bring the parties around the table any closer during last summer’s exhausting transfer window.’

Vlahovic is reportedly open to signing a new contract with the Old Lady and has remained close to his teammates while forced to the sidelines due to an injury.
The Serbian striker has been out of action since December due to an adductor injury that requires surgery. Vlahovic resumed training with the team earlier this week and is expected to go to the bench against Udinese on Saturday.
