According to Diario Do Peixe, Neymar impressed at CT Rei Pelé on Monday morning, taking part fully and scoring several goals while the travelling squad prepared in Venezuela for the Copa Sudamericana play-off first leg. He continues a special programme after the World Cup.

The first leg against Universidad Central is on Tuesday at 21:30, Brasília time, at Estádio Misael Delgado in Valencia, with the return next Tuesday at Vila Belmiro.

The coaching staff expect to have Neymar against Chapecoense on Saturday 25, in the 20th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. He rejoined the club on Friday after World Cup duty with Brazil.

Gabriel Barbosa also trained with the ball after adductor myalgia, taking part normally while continuing his recovery. He is expected to be available to Cuca for the Chapecoense match.

Willian Arão began work on the grass at CT Rei Pelé, having missed the trip after a rib knock in the 2-1 defeat to Botafogo.

João Schmidt remained in Brazil and is in the final phase of his physical transition, recovering from discomfort in his right thigh and targeting a return to availability in the coming days.

For the Venezuela tie, Cuca is without Neymar, Gabriel Barbosa, Willian Arão, João Schmidt, Igor Vinícius, Gustavo Henrique and Moisés. Those staying at CT Rei Pelé are stepping up to strengthen Santos later in the season.
