Neymar reported back to Santos at CT Rei Pelé on Friday afternoon, completing physiology tests and gym work as he resumes club duties after the World Cup.

According to Globo.com, he arrived at about 15:00 Brasília time, took photos, signed autographs and quickly entered the facility.

The No 10 has a contract through 31 December and is expected to see out the remainder of his deal. His father had cast doubt on the forward’s future, urging him to continue despite the World Cup disappointment.

Brazil went out in the last 16 with defeat to Norway, the Seleção’s worst World Cup showing since 1934.

Neymar is a doubt for the trip to Venezuela, where Santos face Universidad Central de Venezuela in Valencia on Tuesday at 21:30 Brasília time in the Copa Sudamericana play-off first leg. His return to action could instead come on Saturday at 18:30, against Chapecoense at Vila Belmiro in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
