Neymar scored twice for Santos in a draw with Chapecoense. He finished after linking with Barreal for his first since returning to the club after the World Cup, then converted a penalty won by Caballero to avoid defeat.

According to Globo.com, Santos controlled the first half, then faltered as Chapecoense pushed on after the interval and turned the game around. Head coach Cuca's changes, introducing Gabriel Menino and Caballero, proved effective.

Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão had little to do before the break, then could not prevent the second-half goals and was not at fault. Centre-back João Ananias put through his own net. Willian Arão left Giovanni Augusto free to cross for Chapecoense's first, and Gabriel Bontempo failed to track Marcinho for the goal.

On the right, Igor Vinícius struggled to combine with Rollheiser and was jeered when withdrawn. Menino improved the flank and fed Caballero in a key move. Rollheiser was quiet early, livelier before half-time, then replaced.

Barreal's movement opened the lane for Neymar's first. Gabigol was crowded out between defenders with little service. Rony shot over after a cross.
