Bayern Munich have reportedly indeed once again attempted to acquire VfB Stuttgart sensation Nick Woltemade. The Bundesliga professional’s agent Danny Bachmann vented his frustration to Germany’s Associated Press (Deutschen Presse-Agentur), claiming that Stuttgart are not playing by reasonable terms of agreement.

Woltemade has reportedly received an ultimatum from Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle, who has remained adamant all summer that Woltemade will not move to the German record champions. Wehrle reportedly demanded that Woltemade declare his future allegiances before Stuttgart square off against Bayern in the DFL Supercup this Saturday.

According to Bachmann, Wehrle was willing to entertain an offer for Woltemade provided Bayern exceeding a €60m tender. Bachmann also claims that Stuttgart were prepared to accept an offer that contained a generous re-sale clause for the 23-year-old. Bachmann claims that both conditions were met. Stuttgart then requested a €75m offer.

The solution demanded by Mr. Wehrle this week within a questionable deadline was delivered today,” Bachmann – as quoted by Kicker – told the dpa.The total package exceeded €60m and a re-sale clause was included.

The response from the supervisory board [of VfB Stuttgart] regarding a demand of €75 million, is not only completely unfounded,” Bachmann continued. “but is also in stark contradiction to the aforementioned agreements.

Stuttgart have repeatedly promised to help Nick find a solution for the next step in his career,” Bachmann was also sure to note.

Bachmann’s ploy is clearly aimed at embarrassing Woltemade’s current club.

It might potentially help force the transfer.
