Manchester City youngster Nico O'Reilly has been named the Premier League Young Player of the Season after a breakthrough campaign under Pep Guardiola.
The 21-year-old academy graduate enjoyed a remarkable year for City, making 34 Premier League appearances while contributing five goals and three assists during the club’s title challenge.
The award comes less than 24 hours after O’Reilly was voted Manchester City’s Player of the Year, capping off an unforgettable season for the midfielder.
A lifelong City supporter, O’Reilly joined the club’s academy at the age of eight before progressing through the youth ranks. He captained the Under-18s to the league title in 2022/23 and has now established himself as a first-team regular.
He also scored twice in the EFL Cup final victory over Arsenal at Wembley and featured in City’s FA Cup final triumph against Chelsea earlier this month.
Following his outstanding performances this season, O’Reilly earned a place in England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after making his senior debut against Serbia last year.
