Nico Williams sustained a right adductor injury in Spain’s 1-0 win over Uruguay, putting his World Cup in doubt, and offered an update on Saturday.

He was hurt during Friday’s victory. The adductor issue is moderate grade and he has not been ruled out of the competition. The player said in a post that it followed a difficult year with pubalgia, which he overcame through work, sacrifice and a sense of responsibility, and he called it one of the worst days of his life while vowing to return before the tournament ends.
