Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson admits that he just needed something different to coach Enzo Maresca at this stage of his career.
He is still a Chelsea player, despite the fact he is now speaking like he isn’t and will never be returning to the club. But the fact is, he is still Chelsea owned because no permanent transfer has taken place between Jackson and Bayern Munich up until now and even the obligation to buy will have conditions that will need to be met before it can be triggered. So there is still a chance that Jackson ends up back at Chelsea next summer although if that does happen, the way he is talking below, you can only expect him to then end up joining a different club again as it sounds like his time at Chelsea is all done and dusted.
Jackson split Chelsea fans opinions from the day he arrived, but there is no doubt that he improved over time since he arrived at the club. But now he’s gone, and to be honest I don’t think many Chelsea fans lost too much sleep over it in the end.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tuttosport this weekend, Jackson said:
“Football is full of cycles. Sometimes things don’t go as they should, and that’s part of the game. I respect Coach Maresca; I learned a lot from him; he has his own ideas and style. I just needed something different at this stage of my career. I have no regrets, just gratitude for my time at Chelsea.”
I didn’t always love his attitude or how he carried himself, but I wish Jackson the absolute best. He gave his all in Chelsea blue, scored some important goals, and we can go our separate ways and thank him for his time here.
