Nicolás Otamendi and Gianluca Prestianni reach landmarks in Benfica draw at Casa Pia | OneFootball

Benfica’s draw at Casa Pia in Rio Maior slowed their title push and delivered landmark appearances for Nicolás Otamendi and Gianluca Prestianni.

According to Playmaker, Otamendi made his 250th Liga Portugal Betclic appearance, while Prestianni, who came on, reached 50 official Benfica outings.

Otamendi is now the Argentine with the most official top-flight appearances in Portugal, a run that began in 2010 with his Porto debut. He has 173 matches for Benfica and 77 for Porto, plus 19 goals, five assists and four titles.

Prestianni, 20, signed in January 2024 and debuted against Rio Ave. He has 23 starts, four goals, four assists and one title for Benfica across 50 official games.

Porto dropped points, yet Benfica failed to capitalise. After 28 rounds of Liga Portugal Betclic they are third on 66 points, two behind Sporting on 68 with a game in hand, and seven off Porto on 73.
