Leeds United face a swift turnaround after the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City, with Sunderland visiting Elland Road on Tuesday. According to Leeds Live, up to nine players could miss the match, while two have returned to action.

The Whites sit six points above the relegation zone and can bolster their position with a home win. Both clubs are in their first season back in the top flight, with Regis Le Bris' side six points ahead with 10 games to go.

Daniel Farke is likely without Noah Okafor, who sustained a hamstring problem against Birmingham City in the FA Cup and missed the City game. There are also doubts over centre-back Joe Rodon, withdrawn late on Saturday with a suspected hamstring issue and set to be assessed, assistant Eddie Riemer indicated. Otherwise, Farke will have a full squad available.

Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka has recovered from an ankle injury and featured against Bournemouth, so he is available. Bertrand Traore also returned, coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes.

The Black Cats remain without winger Romaine Mundle after a hamstring injury sustained against Fulham a fortnight ago. Forward Ta Bi suffered an ankle problem in the same match that might require surgery, while striker Brian Brobbey is out for two to four weeks with a groin issue. Defender Nordi Mukiele also picked up a knee injury that day, and none of those injured against Fulham will travel.

Left-back Dennis Cirkin is sidelined after a training setback and is expected to be out for about 10 days, so Tuesday comes too soon. Reinildo Mandava, another left-back, remains in the final stages of knee rehabilitation. There is also a doubt over forward Ahmed Abdullahi, who featured for the under-21s last week.
