FC Bayern Munich will not continue to sign Nicolas Jackson beyond the summer, as Max Eberl recently confirmed. The fact that there is no future for the Senegalese in Munich also has to do with Chelsea FC
It became apparent quite early on in the season that Jackson would not be staying at FC Bayern permanently. It did not take long for it to become clear that the conditions required for the automatic activation of the purchase obligation would not be met. Jackson simply did not play enough
In the end, however, Jackson’s team of advisors still thought they had a chance of signing him. The striker, who also missed some time due to the Africa Cup, scored 14 points in just over 1150 minutes, which is anything but bad for a backup
But Chelsea FC, who are now clearly in control of the player again, are not willing to let him go so easily. The Blues believe that the player’s value, which they estimated last season as a basis, has certainly not fallen. However, this has put paid to any hopes the Jackson side had of keeping him in Munich

Chelsea, as The Athletic reports , are demanding up to €70 million for the Senegalese. That is clearly too much for a backup for FC Bayern, who are said to be looking at Fisnik Asllani and Dusan Vlahovic, among others. And in Munich, they don’t see Jackson as having the potential to replace Harry Kane in two or three years‘ time, which is why he is simply too expensive for the record champions
It remains to be seen what other options are available. Teams from Italy are interested, but certainly do not have the means to pay such a sum. For Chelsea, it could therefore be a tough summer in terms of personnel, measured against their own demands.
