Across all Premier League matches from 18 – 20 April, clubs will unite to promote equality.
At St. James’ Park, No Room For Racism messaging will be visible throughout the stadium, including LED displays, a branded pre‑match handshake board, and the match ball plinth.
HONOURING PIONEERS
The club is honoured to welcome former Newcastle United players as special guests to this fixture. Their visit forms part of a Show Racism the Red Card initiative recognising the first 11 players of black heritage to represent clubs at senior level in English football.
Show Racism the Red Card was established in the North East 30 years ago, thanks in part to a donation by then Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Shaka is one of the club’s first 11 trailblazers who helped break barriers for those who followed:
Wor Flags will pay tribute to their legacy with a display in the Gallowgate End prior to kick-off.
