PSG head coach Luis Enrique is very confident ahead of Les Parisiens‘ Champions League semi-finals first leg against Bayern Munich. The Spaniard believes that the Champions League winners remain the best team in the world, but hints at the Bundesliga giants being above PSG in terms of consistency.

“But as a team, we’re up there. No team is better than ours“, sais Luis Enrique in his pre-game presser at Campus PSG. The two-time Champions League-winning head coach added that PSG have as much respect for Bayern Munich that they have for the other big teams they have faced in the Champions League knock-out stage, namely Chelsea and Liverpool.

Luis Enrique hints at a slight difference for PSG compared to last year’s run to their maiden Champions League title, who mostly felt like a relief. “Now, it’s a motivation to make history. We’re hungry and we want to improve even more. We’re excited to play these matches, we can’t wait.“

Since he signed for PSG in 2023, Luis Enrique has always led Les Parisiens to, at least, the Champions League semi-finals.
