With the North Stand's expanded single-upper tier due to open before the end of the current season, we are pleased to share some important updates about season tickets and our new matchday experiences.

New Season Tickets

The expansion of the North Stand will add more than 7,000 general admission seats, increasing the Etihad Stadium’s total capacity to over 60,000.

As previously communicated, the majority of the additional general admission seating capacity will be allocated to Season Ticket Members.

And following further consultation with City Matters, we are pleased to confirm that we will release more than 4000 new Flexi Season Tickets stadium-wide ahead of the 2026/27 season.

50% of these new Season Tickets will be ringfenced for Junior Cityzens to help make sure the next generation of fans can regularly attend home matches.

To be eligible to purchase a new Flexi Season Ticket for the 2026/27 season, as previously communicated following consultation with City Matters, fans must have purchased a general admission ticket for 35 different home men’s matches across any competition during the period covering the 2023/24, 2024/25, and 2025/26 seasons.

More details will be shared well in advance of Season Tickets going on sale in the second half of the current season.

New Matchday Experiences

As we shared last season, the expanded North Stand will include a minimum of 3,000 rail seats, but this can increase depending on demand. These seats offer a safe standing experience, and we will be asking existing Season Ticket Members and fans who have met the 35-match criteria for new Season Tickets if they are interested in moving to this area.

We are also excited to reveal images of the expanded North Stand’s new concourse areas, which will offer unique facilities and a refreshed matchday experience. Features will include space for pre- and post-match entertainment, self-serve screens, and enhanced TVs and sound systems.

In addition, two new bar spaces will be added to the expanded North Stand:

  1. Cross Bar: Located at the start of the expanded section, this space will welcome around 300 fans and offer a relaxed, social atmosphere.
  1. City Hall: A new experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This enhanced bar experience will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

Support for Fans Needing to Relocate

The introduction of City Hall means that a small number of Season Ticket Members in North Stand Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1) may need to move seats ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 season. No fans will need to move to accommodate Cross Bar.

We understand that relocating seats may be unsettling, and we are here to support these fans. All affected fans have been contacted directly and offered:

  1. A priority relocation window to choose any available general admission seat in the stadium. This includes the option to relocate to the expanded North Stand or stay within the ample available seats close to them in Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).
  1. Fans impacted by the change will not need to pay more if they move to a more expensive location.
  1. The ability to move together in groups, even if not all members are directly affected.

Next Steps

All ticketing and stadium-related announcements will follow consultation with our elected fan network, City Matters.  In early 2026, we will share more details about:

  1. Pricing for the 2026/27 season - this will be in advance of Season Ticket Relocates, Renewals and new Season Tickets going on sale.
  1. How to express interest in rail seating and new experiences.
  1. The release of match-by-match tickets for any matches with the expanded section in operation this season.

We also look forward to sharing further exciting updates about our new museum, fan zone, hotel, and food and beverage spaces, all of which are due to open in late 2026.
