Norway have arrived in the United States with their own food supplies, overseen by three leading chefs, so players can stick to familiar diets.
According to VG, around 300 kg of fish, 116 kg of brown cheese and more than 6,000 oranges flew with the squad to their base in Greensboro, North Carolina. France’s future opponents have not held back.
The approach echoes Paris 2024, when Norway also took local produce to support their athletes.
This time, three chefs regarded as standard-bearers of Norwegian cuisine are travelling with the team and have arranged the orders.
If Norway go deep into the competition, the cooks say they will keep quantities modest and restock in small batches rather than all at once. Whether that will satisfy Erling Haaland is another matter.
