The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Norwich City on Wednesday have been announced, with Matthew Donohue set to take charge at Elland Road.
Following time running the line, Donohue turned his attentions to refereeing in 2016 and has risen from the non-league circuit to officiate in the top-flight, taking charge of two Premier League fixtures last campaign.
Wednesday’s clash with the Canaries marks a swift return to Elland Road for Donohue, who oversaw the Whites’ 2-0 victory over Derby County here in December, as well as November’s home triumph over QPR - by the same scoreline.
Those two results takes United’s record in matches refereed by the official to four wins from six matches, including a draw away at West Bromwich Albion in the previous term.
Norwich City, meanwhile, have a more mixed record in matches featuring the Greater Manchester-based official, winning twice, drawing once and losing twice in five outings.
Most recently, Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side were heavily beaten by Crystal Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park in the EFL Cup Second Round.
