FC Bayern are apparently not only looking at Ismael Saibari at PSV Eindhoven. According to a report from the Netherlands, another player from the club is also on Munich’s wish list

While Munich are currently being heavily linked with Ismael Saibari and are said to have already reached an agreement in principle with the attacking player, the Dutch champions are apparently also looking at another key player

According to Eindhoven’s Dagblad, Bayern are also interested in Sergiño Dest. The Munich club have already expressed their interest in the right-back, although no concrete negotiations have yet taken place between the clubs

According to the report, Dest would cost between 20 and 25 million euros. Bayern would first like to sell a player after a possible signing of Saibari before tackling a possible transfer of Dest. The US international himself wants to decide on his future after the World Cup

Interestingly, Dest is not an unknown name at Säbener Straße

He was already linked with FC Bayern in 2021, but the record champions decided against signing the defensive player back then

The 25-year-old has been under contract with PSV Eindhoven since the summer of 2024 and still has a valid contract until 2028. Transfermarkt.de estimates his current market value at around €18 million

Dest can play on either the right or left side of defence and would therefore fit perfectly into Bayern’s requirements profile. This flexibility in particular is seen internally as an important factor in squad planning

While talks with Saibari are said to be much further advanced, interest in Dest is apparently still at an early stage

Bayern are still looking for ways to strengthen their squad, with the full-back positions in particular being regularly analyzed internally. Although Munich already have several options with Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic and Alphonso Davies, they are still on the lookout for other flexible solutions

In addition to his versatility, Dest also has international experience: the Dutch-born US international has already played for Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona and AC Milan before moving to Eindhoven

It remains to be seen whether the interest will actually lead to concrete negotiations, but one thing is clear: after Ismael Saibari, Bayern have apparently set their sights on another PSV professional.
