Nottingham Forest reach agreement with Rennes to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) from Stade Rennais. The PSG academy graduate has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Premier League club.

Forest will pay the Ligue 1 club a fee in the region of €30m acquire the services of Kalimuendo. Brentford and Newcastle United have both been linked with a potential move for the Frenchman but the Midlands club have stolen a match on their divisional rivals in the race for the 23-year-old’s signature and look close to sealing the deal.

Nottingham are viewing the French top flight as place where they can conduct their business this summer. The English outfit have also made a €31m bid to sign Dilane Bakwa (22) from Strasbourg, Mohamed Tabouche-Ter reports. The former France U21 international made 33 appearances for Les Rouges et Noirs in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 17 goals and registering 3 assists.
