Nottingham Forest are being tipped to revisit a move for Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi this summer, potentially for less than in the winter window.

Gazzetta suggests the Italy international is expected to leave after a disappointing season, with Forest among the clubs monitoring him. He has struggled for minutes and form, and his valuation is said to have dropped.

Forest reignited their interest during the winter, having first been linked 12 months earlier. They reportedly tested the waters with a 35 million, £30m, bid, but no deal emerged as Inter sought a replacement.

Midfield is an area the Reds will reassess this summer. Elliot Anderson appears likely to attract offers, and the club will want to avoid another relegation fight in 2026/27.

Anderson equalised in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United that effectively secured safety. West Ham United’s later defeat to Arsenal confirmed Vitor Pereira’s side for another top-flight campaign.

His goal may yet be a parting gift, with Manchester City leading the chase and Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea also keen. Forest were linked with several midfielders in January.

Earlier this year agent Giuseppe Riso said Lazio had made an approach, but Liverpool’s stance on Curtis Jones stalled movement, adding Frattesi would not join Forest then and Inter would not advance talks.
