Nottingham Forest have set a valuation for Elliot Anderson, with Manchester City expected to return after an undisclosed bid was rejected.
According to the Daily Mail, Forest believe Anderson is worth more than the £105m Arsenal paid for Declan Rice, and are ideally seeking £110m, which would be a record for an English player.
City are believed to be keen to complete a deal for the 23-year-old before England’s World Cup campaign begins on June 17. Manchester United also hold an interest, although City are considered favourites.
Forest are not under pressure to sell and accept Anderson’s value could rise if he impresses at the tournament. He is under contract at the City Ground until 2029 and is currently on World Cup duty with England.
Head coach Vitor Pereira said last month that Anderson is a talent and the club want to keep him, while stressing the market is unpredictable and that they plan to add two or three players to balance the squad.
Anderson stated in March that his focus this summer would be on the World Cup. The transfer window opens on June 15, with Premier League clubs having until 11pm on September 1 to complete deals.
