Nottingham Forest got their 2025-26 campaign off to the best possible start in the Premier League. The Tricky Trees were excellent in their 3-1 win over Brentford on the opening weekend, buoyed by a busy summer in the transfer window. Boosted by their promotion to the Europa League, the Tricky Trees have wasted no time in bolstering their squad. But they’ll need to make sure they keep focus on the Premier League too. The win over Brentford also saw a four-game winless run at home come to an end, with a poor finish to 2024-25.
Graham Potter’s first full season at West Ham didn’t start well. The Hammers were well beaten by newly-promoted Sunderland away from home, offering little in their 3-0 defeat. West Ham had actually ended the 2024-25 campaign strong on the road, winning their final two away games including one at Old Trafford. But throughout their history, the Hammers have been liable to go on losing streaks away from home.
Nicolas Dominguez is the only injury absentee for Nottingham Forest, who also seem to be announcing a new signing every day.
Crysencio Summerville is expected to be out until after the international break, while Luis Guilherme is also injured.
Nottingham Forest have won their past three league games against West Ham. They’ve also won the past four meetings at the City Ground across all competitions.
