Vitor Pereira has confirmed his Nottingham Forest line-up for tonight’s Europa League quarter-final first leg at Porto, making nine changes and recalling Chris Wood for his first appearance since October after knee surgery.
According to Nottingham Post, Murillo and Morgan Gibbs-White are the only players to keep their places from the 3-0 win at Tottenham before the international break. Forest are unbeaten in three and now turn full focus to Europe.
It looks like a back three of Zach Abbott, Murillo and Morato in front of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega. Nicolas Dominguez and Ryan Yates take the midfield roles, with Dilane Bakwa and Dan Ndoye likely to operate as wing-backs.
Gibbs-White and James McAtee provide the support for Wood. Starting XI: Ortega, Abbott, Murillo, Morato, Bakwa, Dominguez, Yates, Ndoye, Gibbs-White, McAtee, Wood. Bench: Matz Sels, Neco Williams, Ibrahim Sangare, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Igor Jesus, Lorenzo Lucca, Omari Hutchinson, Nikola Milenkovic, Ola Aina, Archie Whitehall, Jimmy Sinclair, Justin Hanks.
Forest beat Porto 2-0 at the City Ground in October during the league phase, when penalties from Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus secured victory in Sean Dyche’s first match after replacing Ange Postecoglou.
