Nuno Félix is leaving Benfica after being left out of Marco Silva’s plans. According to Glorioso 1904, the Seixal-trained midfielder is not in the squad for 2026/27 and is preparing to depart in this window.

The 22-year-old was among those told not to report to Benfica Campus by the SAD. Rafa Obrador, Diogo Prioste, João Veloso, Gustavo Varela and Henrique Araújo also missed the opening session, reflecting a rebuild led by Rui Costa and Marco Silva.

Last season proved especially difficult for the Portugal under-20 international. He tore knee ligaments during 2025/26 preparation, sidelined for 226 days. He missed 23 competitive games and returned only for five outings with Benfica B.

The club hierarchy believe a new project, with regular minutes, now represents his best route back. Staying at the Luz is seen as unlikely to provide that platform.

With the summer market under way, Benfica are already working on a solution for his future, and an exit is viewed as almost inevitable. His destination remains unclear as he prepares to end a long academy spell without establishing himself in the first team, hampered by that serious injury.
