The World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico will remain packed with Brazil-based players, as 25 of the 32 call-ups from the Brazilian game have reached the second phase. Only seven Uruguayans went out when the group stage ended on Saturday. This edition already features a record number of Brazil-based players.

According to Globo.com, the eliminated septet, Arrascaeta, De la Cruz and Varela to return to Flamengo, Emiliano Martínez and Piquerez to Palmeiras, Canobbio to Fluminense and Rochet to Internacional, have been cleared to head back and are expected to be given a few days' holiday.

Clubs must wait longer for the others, with a risk of them missing the training block held during the World Cup.

Those still involved come from 12 clubs, with six at Flamengo, five at Palmeiras, four at Atlético-MG, two at Grêmio and one each at Athletico-PR, Botafogo, Bragantino, Corinthians, Internacional, Santos, São Paulo and Vasco.

Brazil, 7: Weverton (Grêmio), Alex Sandro (Flamengo), Danilo (Flamengo), Léo Pereira (Flamengo), Lucas Paquetá (Flamengo), Danilo Santos (Botafogo), Neymar (Santos).

Paraguay, 7: Balbuena (Grêmio), Bobadilla (São Paulo), Gustavo Gómez (Palmeiras), Isidro Pitta (Bragantino), Junior Alonso (Atlético-MG), Maurício (Palmeiras), Ramón Sosa (Palmeiras).

Ecuador, 5: Alan Franco (Atlético-MG), Félix Torres (Internacional), Minda (Atlético-MG), Plata (Flamengo), Preciado (Atlético-MG).

Colombia, 4: Andrés Gómez (Vasco), Arias (Palmeiras), Carrascal (Flamengo), Juan Portilla (Athletico-PR).

Argentina, 1: Flaco López (Palmeiras).

Netherlands, 1: Memphis Depay (Corinthians).
