FC Barcelona will be taking on Getafe shortly in La Liga, and this will be a crucial game for the Catalan giants. Despite this being an away game, La Blaugrana have the golden opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the league table if they can pick up a win here.

However, with the likes of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha injured, Hansi Flick knew that he would have to make some significant changes to the starting eleven. Now, the final decision has arrived in the form of the actual starting line-up being used for this game.

Here is the official Barcelona starting eleven for this clash against Getafe.

In goal, to no one’s surprise, Joan Garcia is the player who is set to start. The Spaniard has been great for Barça this season, and has pulled up some amazing performances to rescue them when needed as well. In this game, he might need to conjure up another one of those.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin are starting together as the two centre-backs. They will need to ensure that Getafe remain restricted in attack while also ensuring good distribution of the ball.

On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Joao Cancelo will start as the two full-backs. Cancelo, in particular, may need to offer up a lot of quality creatively in the attack to make up for Yamal’s absence in this game.

In midfield, Pedri is accompanied by Dani Olmo and Gavi, with two of them playing a deeper role while one of them plays in a more advanced position to act as the central attacking midfielder. With these three on the field, Flick clearly wants to have control over proceedings.

Ahead of them, Fermin Lopez starts on the left side of the attack while Roony Bardghji starts on the right. Both players will have a big responsibility in this game and they will need to hurt Getafe as much as possible.

Lastly, up top, Robert Lewandowski starts and it seems that Flick will rely on the veteran striker to find the back of the net in this game. His physicality and awareness could prove to be useful assets in a game like this.
