FC Barcelona are set to kick off their game against Real Madrid soon. For both teams, this is a massive clash that sees the top two sides in La Liga go head to head for three crucial points at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, despite the injuries at the Catalan club, Hansi Flick has brought together some reliable players and has managed to select a competent starting eleven.
Here is the official starting eleven for Barça against Real Madrid.
In goal, as expected, is Wojciech Szczesny and he will look to be a hindrance to Real Madrid’s attack. While he has not been perfect, he knows what it takes to win this fixture.
Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia form the centre-back partnership. Both of them will be up against Kylian Mbappe for much of this game, and that is a big obstacle for any defender.
On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde start for Barça as the two full-backs. They will have to cover a lot of ground and make sure that they are alert in regards to their defensive and offensive duties.

In the midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong start together for Barcelona. While the Dutchman’s starting role in this game was not exactly a guarantee, it seems that Hansi Flick believes him to be ready to make an impact.
Ahead of them, Fermin Lopez starts as the central attacking midfielder for Barça. On the flanks, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford will look to attack the wide areas with Yamal in particular having something to prove.
Lastly, up top, Ferran Torres starts for La Blaugrana. The Spaniard recently returned from injury but it seems that he is ready to start this game and make things difficult for Real Madrid’s defenders.
