Official: Bologna buy Alhassane from Real Oviedo, fee believed to be €3.5m | OneFootball

Bologna have officially purchased Niger international left-back Rahim Alhassane from Real Oviedo for a reported fee of €3.5m.

The transfer was completed today, with the 24-year-old player putting pen to paper on a contract at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

He flew in to undergo his medical tests over the last few days before securing the deal.

Alhassane made 28 competitive appearances for Real Oviedo last season between LaLiga and the Copa del Rey, but contributed no goals or assists.

It had been reported that the asking price was €4m, but that Bologna got it over the line for a lower fee of €3.5m.

Although he can also play in central defence, it would appear as if the Rossoblu have primarily purchased him to work as a left-back.

There had also been interest from AS Monaco in the Niger international, who already has 23 caps for his country.
