Davide Calabria officially at Bologna. (@bolognafc.it)
Davide Calabria has left Milan after 18 years with the club.
Calabria has only been part of a single club since he was a boy: Milan. From the youth sector to winning the Scudetto and captaining the Rossoneri, Davide achieved a lot wearing the Red and Black shirt.
However, today – on the last day of the January transfer market – the journey of Calabria with Milan ends.
“Milan can confirm that Davide Calabria has joined Bologna FC,” a statement reads. “The Club would like to thank Davide for the total commitment, professionalism and dedication that he’s shown throughout his 18 years with the Rossoneri and wishes him all the best in his personal and professional life going forward.”
Bologna confirmed that the player only joins them until the end of the season, which is when his contract with Milan expires. Therefore, he’ll be a free agent in the summer.
Milan’s new Captain is Mike Maignan, who has been wearing the armband since Sérgio Conceição has been at the club.
