The Spain national football team take on Iraq tonight at Riazor in a friendly encounter as preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With the game set to kick off in a little under two hours, La Roja manager Luis de la Fuente has announced the starting lineup that will take the field, with as many as five FC Barcelona stars featuring.

The headline is that Barça youngster Marc Bernal makes his senior debut for the Spanish national team, starting in midfield.

Even though the youngster is not included in the actual squad for the World Cup, he was called up by the manager for the training camp and has been rewarded with his debut in the form of a start.

Meanwhile, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres starts in attack and also captains the Spain national team in the absence of regular skipper Rodri.

Joan Garcia makes his second appearance for La Roja in goal, while Gavi and Dani Olmo also feature in the lineup, starting in midfield.

Pedri and Lamine Yamal are not in the squad, with the former rested and the latter recovering from an injury. Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia are among the substitutes.
